Week 4 assignment

Week 4 assignment
Pick any movie that you would like
Make 2 menus: Main menu and a chapter menu
Main menu has the following buttons
Play
Chapters
Special features
Audio


Chapter menu
6 chapter buttons ( that use video from the timeline)
Back to main menu button
Bring it into encore name the project (Firstname)(last intial)_week4
Author the DVD in encore and link the 2 menu appropriately

Put all the contents in a folder name (firstname)_(lastname) and put it in the drop box.

Week 2 Assignment

Week 2 Weekly assignment, Submit first draft of mind map of portfolio to the drop box at the beginning of week 3.This should be a farely large mind map.The purpose here is to not judge. Put everything down wether you think it is relavent. These will be refined at a later date. Take a break from it for a couple days and come back and see if there is anything to add to it. Add things to it as you think of them.

Additional materials: provided by Instructor – print, audio/visual and web-based.

Learning Outcomes:
· Students will have a working knowledge of the main functions and tools in a DVD authoring environment.
· Students will be able to apply their skills and knowledge of mind mapping in the preparation for creation of an interactive DVD Portfolio.
· Students will be able to apply their skills and knowledge of programs learnt in pervious courses in the creation of an interactive DVD Portfolio.

Weekly Assignments (40% final mark)
Students will be given a weekly assignment to complete. In most cases there will be time given at the end of class to do the assignment. All assignments will be posted on the students blog and are due prior to the next class or a zero will be assigned for that portion of the mark

In-class Assignment (20% final mark)
There is one in-class assignments Instructions will be provided at the beginning of the class so students will know what is expected and how it will be marked. If a student misses an in class assignment it is the student’s responsibility to email the instructor prior to the following class to make arrangement for a make. Failure to do so will result in a zero for that assignment.

Portfolio (40%)
The portfolio will include the following

Flowchart
Interactive DVD (containing at least 4 menu of main page, 1 animated menu, 1 slide show, 1 video)DVD cover
